[Nüpode Huitoto] — Nüpode Huitoto (hux)

This datasheet is for version 23.0 of the the Mozilla Common Voice Scripted Speech dataset for Nüpode Huitoto (hux). The dataset contains 12 hours of recorded speech (10 hours validated) from 13 speakers.

Language

The Murui-Muinanɨ language, ISO code hux belongs to the Witotoan family and is spoken in the basins of the Putumayo, Napo, and Amazonas rivers in the Loreto department of Perú. It has traditionally been known as Uitoto or Huitoto but now they prefer the endonym Murui-Muinanɨ.

Writing system

The murui muinane alphabet was officially established by Executive Order No. 303-2015-MINEDU issued by Peruvian Ministry of Education. The alphabet is composed by 23 graphemes.
