This dataset is intended to be used for training and evaluating automatic speech recognition (ASR) models. It may also be used for applications relating to computer-aided language learning (CALL) and language or heritage revitalisation.

[Matses] — Matses (mcf)

This datasheet is for version 24.0 of the the Mozilla Common Voice Scripted Speech dataset for Matses (mcf). The dataset contains 13990 clips representing 10.32 hours of recorded speech (10.24 hours validated) from 21 speakers.

Language

The Matsés language, ISO code mcf belongs to the Pano family and is spoken in the basins of the Gálvez and Yaquirana rivers, and in the Añushiyacu creek, in the Loreto department of Peru. It has also traditionally been known as "mayuruna", although today the speakers themselves prefer to call it Matsés.
